For generations upon generations, Birth knowledge, Skills and Wisdom were held within the hearts and hands of women — guided by intuition, ancestral experience, and nurtured through collective and community care.

With the coming of the age of medicalization, many of our wise women and ancestral traditions were silenced. Yet… the memory remains in our blood and bones, the threads of True Midwifery are still being spun by a Web of Wise Women around the world.

The 13 Moons Journey is about remembering, reweaving— learning and unlearning cultural concepts of care, honouring birth as a physiological process, and spiritual rite of passage. Tending to the wounds inflicted by the medicalisation of childbirth, obstetric violence and the medical industrial complex — whilst simultaneously acknowledging that modern medical procedures can offer life preserving care in certain circumstances.

This Journey is a returning, a reclaiming and gathering back of the knowledge, skills, wisdom that is our birthright as women, as communities, alongside exploring the innate wisdom of our bodies, birth, and beyond. We gather together to restore the sanctity of birth and maternal health with collective and community care.
